From July 1, 2026, it will add 8 more regional TV channels to its programming lineup, allowing viewers to stay even closer to what’s happening in their local communities. With the addition of these new channels, the total number will increase to 29 regional stations, with the portfolio having steadily expanded over the past six months.

The first quarter of 2026 confirms an ongoing trend – customers are consuming more data, adopting new technologies faster, and increasingly relying on digital services as a natural part of everyday life. Mobile data traffic in the Slovak Telekom network grew by 40% year-on-year, with more than 65% of all data now transmitted via 5G devices. 5G traffic alone increased by more than 180% year-on-year. Alongside data usage, communication patterns are also evolving. VoLTE calls now account for 85% of total traffic, while older technologies are gradually declining – data traffic on the 2G network decreased by 8% year-on-year.

Telekom offers seniors 100 GB of data for free

Seniors who have participated in the project funded by the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan – “Improving the digital skills of seniors and distribution of Senior tablets,” known as Digital Seniors, where they gained not only digital skills but also a tablet, now have a new opportunity to fully benefit from their newly acquired knowledge. Slovak Telekom is offering them a free data package with 100 GB of data, with no contract or monthly fees, which they can use for anything they need. They can collect it at any Telekom store until July 31, 2026.
